Latest from The Roofs

Well, my little baby doesn't look much like a baby anymore. I just can't believe how fast he is growing. He is now 15 months old and really becoming aware of the world around him. He is now running, but usually only to follow his Daddy! He repeats everything he hears so Mommy and Daddy have become very cautious of what we say. He is still a little obsessed with Elmo and Mickey Mouse, and those Little Einstein videos have finally started to pay off. He now does "eat" and "more" in sign language. He attempts to do "all done" but hasn't mastered that one yet. And I'm pretty sure he thinks the itsy bitsy spider is sign language too! He loves to go in his baby brother, Maddox' room, but I'm not sure he realizes there will be a little baby living in there soon. We'll see how that one goes.
Speaking of baby Maddox, as of now, the stubborn little booger is still breech. His head is very much in my rib cage and his feet are jogging on my bladder! We are hoping that he will turn before it's too late, so we can avoid C-section. My Dr appt's are every 2 weeks now and I'm definitely feeling 8 months pregnant! Can't believe he will be here in less than 8 weeks!
Well here are a few pics of my sweet little family! I finally got a new camera, so I am going a little picture crazy...in other words...there are many more pics coming soon!!

Davis & Fisher's 1st Birthday

On Saturday, Cameron got to visit two of his best buddies, Davis & Fisher, for their 1st Birthday Party! We had such a great time! Because Cameron isn't around too many little one's his age, I'm always anxious to see how he does with other kids. He had a blast!! He was only shy for about a minute before he jumped right in and enjoyed the party! He ate lots of pizza, and a little bit of cake. As the party came to an end, Dad & Cam headed outside to play with bubbles, which is one of Cameron's fave things to do right now. You can see in the pics how much fun he had. Thanks to Evan, Natalie, Davis & Fisher for such a great party

FAMILY VACATION ORLANDO, FL MARCH 2009

All I can say about our little family vacation in Orlando is WOW! We had the most amazing time! We arrived in Orlando on Thursday night (03/19) and immediately took Cameron to the pool. It was such a long ride and he was a trooper the whole trip...didn't whine once! We took a nice dip in the pool, then turned in early for our next fun-filled day.
Friday was "Mommy & Daddy's Day". Cameron and Nana Pat hung out at the resort this day playing in the pool, walking the gift shops, and even having a picnic by the water. Mom & Dad got up very early for our day at Discovery Cove. Discovery Cove is a beautiful park in Orlando where you can swim with (and ride) dolphins, sting rays, & beautiful tropical fish. There is a HUGE lazy river to relax in, a beach to hang out on, even an aviary where you have the opportunity to hand feed exotic birds! Jamie and I have been to a lot of cool places, but Discovery Cove has definitely been one of our favorite experiences to date!
When Saturday arrived, it was time to head to SeaWorld! Mom, Dad, Cam & Nana Pat all enjoyed our SeaWorld experience. We saw so many cool things... a massive Clydesdale, hilarious sea lions, sharks, penguins, polar bears, whales, and my favorite, the beautiful dolphins! The Shamu show was awesome and the Seal & Sea Otter show was so cute! But I think everyone's favorite show was the dolphin show! I think Cameron's favorite part of the day was watching the whales and dolphins swim in their tanks. He loved it! However, the biggest kid of the day was Nana Pat. She has always had a fascination with dolphins, and especially, Shamu. It was a great experience for her and we were so glad she could be there with us! We didn't get to see quite everything on Saturday, so we went back to SeaWorld a second time on Monday before heading home! It was a great way to end our vacation!
I posted three slideshows below. The first slideshow shows all the fun we had at The Marriott World Center, which I must say, is a fabulous resort!!! We will definitely stay there again! The second slideshow is Mommy and Daddy at Discovery Cove, and the third is SeaWorld. Hope you all enjoy!

Splish Splash I Was Taking A Bath

Every night Cameron looks forward to his Bath...he loves water!! He climbs up the stairs every night (which makes Mommy nervous), and now, his favorite thing to do is slide back down the stairs feet first on his belly, thanks to Daddy (which makes Mommy even more nervous)! He's such a Ham for the Camera...can you tell?

Fun In The Sun

Here are some pics of my little monkey enjoying the beautiful weather in our backyard. As you can see he loves being outside and he certainly doesn't mind getting dirty...he's all boy! And he loves playing around when he's supposed to be in bed!

Moving Right Along...

Well here I am at almost 6 months preggers! I can't believe baby Maddox will be here in a few more months. Time has really flown by. Up until about a week ago I had been feeling fine. Although this past weekend, I came down with two strains of the flu! Thank goodness for Jamie, Nana Pat and Nana Roof! They have been taking really good care of me and Cameron! I think I'm over the worst part now, but it will be several more days before I'm back to normal. Cameron has come down with a cold but has managed not to get the flu, thank goodness! The hardest part of being sick is not being able to pick up Cameron and love on him!
And as for Cameron, he is walking everywhere!! He is very proud of himself, you can see it on his face. He is also talking up a storm! He repeats just about anything! His newest word is Nana, which makes two people I know very excited! His favorite words right now are cookie, cracker, snack (see a pattern here?), Melmo (Elmo), poop, and of course all his B words, ba-ba (bottle), bye-bye, and baby. He calls his Daddy the most, but says Mama a lot too! He's growing up so fast!!

Fun at Century Park!

On Sunday, February 8th, Greenville was blessed with beautiful weather! After Jamie enjoyed a round of golf, we took Cameron to nearby Century Park. He loved it! You can tell by the look on his face he had the time of his life! The swing and slide were his favorite! We can't wait to take him back!

Also on Cameron's list of favorite things to do, is playing legos with Daddy and "helping" Mommy cook. He's a little confused about what a colander is for, but it sure makes a cute hat!

Cameron's 1st Birthday and Baby Updates!

I can't believe my baby is 1 already! Boy how time flies!! For Cameron's 1st Birthday, we had an Elmo themed party-Cameron just LOVES Elmo! We were overwhelmed by all the love, not to mention gifts, Cameron got on his birthday. Leanne's Aunt Darlene & Uncle Buck came all the way from Myrtle Beach to be here for Cameron's Birthday!! It was so special to have them here. The party was so much fun! We enjoyed having all of our friends and their children here at the same time...that is so hard to do these days. All of Cameron's best friends, Georgia, Kylee, Talon, Davis & Fisher, and his cousins Emma & Adelyn made it to the party and Cameron was so happy! Thanks to everyone for making Cameron's 1st birthday so memorable. We love you all!

On another note, Little Baby Boy in the Belly is doing great! I had my 20 week ultrasound this past Friday and everything looked beautiful. He is a very healthy 10oz baby boy. Mommy has been feeling pretty good, just some aggravating back pain, but other than that things are great! We think we may have decided on baby's first name, but we're not letting the cat out of the bag just yet. We have started the first stages of getting baby's room ready so hopefully within the month I'll have some pictures to share...we'll see how that goes!

Christmas Morning

Christmas morning was very special for all of us. Nana Pat and Nana Roof spent the night with us on Christmas Eve so they could share in Cameron's 1st Christmas! Santa brought Cameron a toy box and book shelf for all his goodies, a cool truck that he can ride and push, and an Elmo couch to hang out on while he's watching his Baby Einstein videos. Of course he got lots of other goodies too! The first thing he did was climb inside his toy box! It was so cute! Daddy got a remote control helicopter, a fancy shmancy pulsating toothbrush (that he asked Santa for), and lots of other goodies. Mommy got pajamas, Coach perfume and a very unexpected new Coach purse! It was so awesome to have Christmas morning with a child our own. There is no other feeling like it in the world! Can't wait till next Christmas when we have two babies!
